Shazam! Fury of Gods (2023)
Shazam is the inspiration for the American superhero film Fury of the Gods, which will be released in 2023. It is the follow-up to Shazam! It was produced by New Line Cinema, DC Studios, and the Safran Company. 2019) and the DC Extended Universe (DCEU)'s 12th film. The film features Zachary Levi, Asher Angel, Jack Dylan Grazer, Rachel Zegler, The Daughters of Atlas are fought by Billy Batson, Shazam, and his foster siblings in the movie.
Shortly after the Shazam sequel's April 2019 release, production began, with Morgan joining to revise Gayden's screenplay and Gayden returning as the writer. Additionally, by that December, Sandberg and Levi (Shazam) were scheduled to return. In August 2020, the title and the rest of the returning cast were confirmed. In early 2021, Zegler, Mirren, and Liu were cast as Atlas' daughters. Shooting started that May in Atlanta, Georgia, and closed in August.
Shazam! On March 14, 2023, Fury of the Gods had its world premiere at the Fox Village Theater in Los Angeles' Westwood neighborhood. On March 17, 2023, it was released theatrically in the United States. The film has made $68 million worldwide and received mixed reviews from critics.

In Philadelphia, Billy Batson and his foster siblings' "Shazamily" save people from the falling Benjamin Franklin Bridge, but they are blamed for it. Because everyone is getting older and has their own interests, the group is falling apart at home. After Billy turns 18 and leaves the foster care system, he is concerned about being kicked out of the Vasquez family. Billy, as Shazam, receives a warning about Hespera and Kalypso from the Wizard in a dream, which inspires him and the Shazamily to investigate the Daughters. Freddy Freeman, who is still subjected to bullying at school, falls for a new girl named Anne and displays his superhero persona to her. Hespera and Kalypso show up with the staff and take Freddy's powers. It is revealed that Anne is Anthea, their youngest sister. Billy and the other Shazamily attempt to save Freddy, but the daughters kidnap him and build a dome that can't be broken that surrounds the city, entangling everyone inside. In the Gods' Realm, Freddy and the Wizard are both imprisoned. Hespera and Kalypso confess that the Wizard killed their father, so they want to exact revenge.
As a means of negotiating Freddy's release, the Shazamily enter the Rock of Eternity and find a sentient pen named "Steve." They use it to write a letter to Hespera. Billy meets Hespera, and although they are friendly at first, she and Kalypso fight the Shazamily shortly after. During the fight, Pedro loses his powers, and Hespera is captured and taken to the Rock. Hespera effectively breaks out and takes the Brilliant Apple, the seed of the Tree of Life. As Hespera returns with the apple, Freddy and the Wizard attempt to escape the Gods' Realm with the assistance of a sympathetic Anthea. The Daughters argue because Kalypso wants to plant the Apple on Earth to rule it, while Hespera and Anthea want to use it to resurrect their kingdom. Despite Billy and the Shazamily showing up, Freddy regains his powers after he steals the apple.
Billy, the Shazamily, and the Wizard show up in the Vasquez house, where they tell their foster parents their true identities. To acquire the Apple, Kalypso appears with a dragon named Ladon. The skirmish results in Billy's power loss, but Kalypso recovers the Apple and uses it to plant the tree at Citizens Bank Park, which results in monsters attacking the city. Hespera and Anthea attempt to oppose their sister's destructive plan, but Kalypso kills Hespera and takes away Anthea's power. Despite the Wizard's assurances that Billy is a true hero, Billy asks the Wizard to revoke his powers in despair.
Billy transforms into Shazam and flies off to stop Kalypso, heeding the Wizard's words. Meanwhile, the Shazamily enlist the assistance of unicorns to fight off the monsters. Billy, on the other hand, convinces a dying Hespera to help him stop Kalypso. Billy lures Kalypso to the Park while Hespera shrinks the dome to contain them, realizing that his lightning causes the dome to react violently. Billy battles Kalypso and Ladon prior to killing them both by over-burdening the staff with power, obliterating the tree and Kalypso's military with them, at the expense of his own life. Hespera recognizes Billy as both a legend and a divine being prior to capitulating to her injuries.
For Billy's funeral, Anthea brings his family to the Gods' Realm. Diana Prince, the last living being with godly powers, appears, fixes the staff, and she uses her power to bring back Billy and the Gods' Realm. The staff is then utilized by Billy to restore his siblings' powers. While Anthea and the Wizard move to Earth, the Shazamily fix their home.
Emilia Harcourt and John Economos attempt to recruit Billy into the Justice Society on behalf of Amanda Waller in a scene halfway through the credits. In a scene after the credits, a still-incarcerated Sivana meets Mister Mind again. He is enraged that he hasn't started putting their plan into action yet, and Mind insists that more needs to be done first.
